Rena Sofer

  Rena Sherel was born on December 2nd 1968 was an American actress. She is best known for her work on daytime TV, episodic guest appearances, and made-for-television films. Sofer received an Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for her portrayal in the role of Lois Cerullo of the soap drama General Hospital. From 2013 to 2022 she played Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap drama The Bold and the Beautiful.





 Early life



 Sofer was the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau) and an Orthodox Rabbi and Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau).





 She moved with her brother David along with her father to Teaneck (New Jersey) in 1970. They resided in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. They were brought up in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. Then, she went to the Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey, which is a coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish high-school. Sofer grew up in North Bergen where her father was the synagogue's rabbi Temple Beth El. After having graduated from North Bergen High School she went to Montclair State College.





 Career



 Television during the daytime



 Sofer first appeared as Lois Marie Cerullo on General Hospital. Her first appearance came in 1993, as a band manager. However, her first high-profile role was Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap show Loving (1988-91).
