Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18 of 1985 located in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordinand in Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was a natural athlete and found her passion for sprinting in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her first attempt, Felix was second in the 200 meter race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished high school and signed a pro-contract to Adidas. In 2004, she was enrolled at her first year at the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place in Athens Greece. She broke the Junior World Record running 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. The youngest participant in the 200 meter during the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005. She was able to defend her record the following year, beating her time-tested Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She consistently placed in the top three of every event.
