Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on 18 November, 1985, from Los Angeles. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister from the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix demonstrated a talent for athletics from the beginning, as she discovered her talent for sprinting when she was a student at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her first race, Felix was second in the 200-meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for professional work with Adidas in 2003, and was then accepted into University of Southern California to take classes in elementary school. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal in 2004 at the Summer Olympics that took place at Athens Greece. She established the Junior World Record doing 200 m in 22.18 second. The year 2005 was the time she became the youngest 200-meter world champion in the Helsinki World Championships. She retained her title in 2007, surpassing her long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was a participant at her first Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo constantly placing within the top three in all her competitions.
